Architecturally and horticulturally, the pavilion masterfully merges Mediterranean and Japanese garden motifs, forming a tranquil yet striking landscape. Visitors step into the experience via a timeless stone pathway beneath an ancient olive tree, before exploring micro-landscapes blending regional flora and reinterpreted traditional Japanese aesthetics.
The building itself, crafted from reflective metal, harmonizes with its surroundings—enhancing natural light and visuals for a transformative experience.
Inside, the experience unfolds through multiple engaging zones:
Sensory and poetic installations featuring haiku—bridging Monegasque and Japanese traditions, enriching the narrative with a delicate balance of visual, auditory, and olfactory elements.
The Monaco Green Lab, where immersive storytelling around Monaco’s ecosystem, interactive consoles, and animated books depict the nation's long-standing environmental commitment, recalling the legacies of Prince Albert I and II.
